Jenny Caras is an up-and-coming young rider who has worked with the PDE team since December 2014. She has been named to the USEF Eventing 25 training list for four consecutive years and was a team gold and individual bronze medalist at the 2013 North American Junior & Young Rider Championships CH-Y2* in 2013. She completed the Bromont CCI3* and Fair Hill CCI3* in 2015 with her talented horse Fernhill Fortitude. Jenny has three horses she will be competing, as well as some of our young horses, and we are thrilled to have her as a part of the team.
Emma Ford, head groom and barn manager, originally came to True Prospect Farm in 2005. She groomed for Phillip at two Olympic Games, two World Equestrian Games and two Pan American Games, and the USEA named her Professional Groom of the Year in 2007. Emma was awarded the Professional Riders Organization Liz Cochran Grooms Award in 2012. She spent 2013 working for the Wildasins in Aiken, S.C., and Florida and agreed to come back to manage our operation in 2014. We are so happy to have Emma back in the fold.
Emily Hamel recently moved from Kentucky to join the PDE Team. She ran a successful lesson and training operation there and also coached the University of Kentucky Dressage Team. She has produced several horses to the upper levels and also helped her students compete from Beginner Novice through the Intermediate level. She currently competes Katherine O’Brien’s Ramsey at the Advanced level and is excited for what the future holds with him. Emily will be competing some of our young horses too.
