Both I’m Sew Ready and Mr. Candyman jumped clear show jumping rounds today in the CCI3* at The Dutta Corporation Fair Hill International to finish inside the top five. I’m Sew Ready, owned by John and Kristine Norton, finished in fourth place on 50.8. He really jumped spectacularly once he went in the ring, and I knew from the first fence that we were going to have a good round. It’s an honor to have the ride on this amazing horse while our good friend Kristen Bond is expecting.
Mr. Candyman, owned by Annie Jones, Bridget Colman, Caroline Moran and Tom Tierney, finished on his dressage score of 52.9 for fifth place and really put in a class performance all weekend. I’m very proud of both horses for jumping clear rounds today after the incredible effort they made on cross country yesterday.
Thank you to Fair Hill for having me take a lap of honor after I’m Sew Ready’s show jumping round today in honor of the individual bronze medal HND Group’s Mighty Nice won at the Rio Olympic Games. Jackson didn’t quite understand why he was going so fast!
We are also very proud of Laurie Cameron’s Miks Master C, who finished 11th in the USEA Young Event Horse East Coast 4-Year-Old Championships on a final score of 79.56%. He’s a very exciting horse for the future.
It’s been a wonderful event here in Maryland. Thank you to Emma, my team, my family, sponsors, owners and supporters for cheering us on all weekend. We couldn’t do it without you.
